Aptos Vineyard was established in 1974 by Judge John and Patti Marlo. In 2018, after the Judge’s passing, close friend James Baker and his family purchased the wine label. Over the years, Aptos Vineyard has established itself as a micro-négoce, producing high-quality wine from the Santa Cruz Mountains, relying on expert winemakers and exceptional vineyards. Aptos Vineyard has reemerged as a family label, revitalized. We are a local and women-owned family business with deep roots in the Aptos community. We are thrilled to be opening our first tasting room this summer.

Job Description

We are seeking a Tasting Room Manager to oversee all tasting room operations, including being the primary staff. They will also manage the wine club and coordinate events. This may include being present at events. We are a small family-run business, and everyone does a bit of everything, so expect activities to change and grow as we grow and learn.

We plan to be open Friday–Sunday, eventually moving to Wednesday–Sunday. In addition to being the primary staff at the tasting room, additional hours may be required for wine club and event coordination/staffing.


Competitive hourly rate plus tips and commissions.
