Meet summertime in a glass. Our second Rosé of Pinot Noir livens up the party with a light palate and bright finish. Delight in the bold nose before enjoying a refreshing sip with red fruits, honeydew and vanilla. This vintage is special as it is 50% direct-pressed whole cluster from Dalardi Vineyard, with supplemental saignée after 2-6 hours skin contact from Dalardi, Lester and Saveria vineyards.
Full flavors of red fruit, honeydew and tangy balance like a fruit crisp present themselves upfront on the nose and palate. Discover a dry finish with lingering hints of strawberries and melon. A classic Rosé, freshing with a subtle sweetness.
Pairs well with pesto, pork chops, and a warm summer day.
A long, mild growing season in 2021 allowed us and winemaker John Benedetti to get full flavor development in the vineyards without high sugar content. For this rosé we direct pressed whole cluster Swan clones from Dalardi Vineyard and then supplemented with saignée from Lester Family, Saveria and Dalardi vineyards after 2-6 hours of skin contact. She was fermented relatively cool in tanks and then aged in stainless steel to preserve crispness.
Our wines are named after courtroom jargon to honor Judge Marlo’s career in the judicial system. Our first Rose is named All Rise to honor the moment a Judge enters the courtroom.
Straddling the Summit and Soquel Hills at 1,500ft in the Santa Cruz Mountains, cultivated fruit from DaLarDi Vineyard embodies similar characteristics to the popular Split Rail Vineyard of the same appellation. With vines planted in 2013, a youthful DaLarDi sits above the coastal fog belt, along with oak and madrone that line the vineyard. This location was carefully selected because its terroir produces classic Santa Cruz Mountain Pinot Noir fruit and is the “young cousin” to Split Rail Vineyards further South.
